USB CNC Interface with additional Pendant Input.
(This works with either our Hand Pendant or Control Panel)
Are you tired of using a PC Keyboard to control your CNC machine? If you have a CNC machine with a Parallel Port (DB25) connection to your computer, or are looking to build one, then this is the plug-in accessory for you. All enclosed in a beautiful sturdy and engraved Alluminium case.
 Based on our popular USB CNC Interface, this interface unit has a second DB15 port designed to work with our Hand Pendant or Control Panel while still giving a standard DB25 connection port to connect to your CNC Machine. This aditional port has multiple RS485 high speed channels to allow error free communicate with the Pendant/Control Panel over longer distances. Additional packet error checking also ensures that only the correct information is processed and any extraneous noise is completely rejected.
This interface consists of 2 PCBs internally, the USB board, provided by Warp9TD, provides the high speed communications and motion control, whilst the second PCB is our own creation and provides all the communications with the external Pendant and associated control logic. Whilst the USB control board is completely self powered from the USB, the second PCB requires a 12v power supply as this also provides the power to the pendant or control panel. There is also a connector provided for the E/Stop, which provides a direct connection through to the E/Stop on the Pendant. This should be linked into the E/Stop circuit on your machine.
Finally there is a connection for a second MPG wheel, which will connect through to Mach3. This can be used either for an additional MPG or for an extra encoder ..such as a spindle shaft encoder on a Lathe.
This interface will work as a normal CNC Interface without a Pendant connected, so that can always be added later if needed. The 12V power supply is not required in this case.
